Beyond Digital Transformation
Today, the world finds itself amid a monumental "Triple Transition"—demographic transition, climate transition, and digital transition. In particular, the rapid expansion of digital transition and Artificial Intelligence (AI) presents opportunities to boost productivity. At the same time, it introduces new social risks such as the digital skills gap, lack of ethical standards, data poverty, and “Digital Anxiety," demanding a fundamental paradigm shift in international social work practice.

In this era of threats and dramatic changes, it is deeply meaningful and a great pleasure to host the Asia-Pacific Social Work Conference for three days, from September 29 to October 1, 2027, in South Korea—a nation leading the way beyond Digital Transformation (DX) to AI Transformation (AX).

This conference serves as a global platform where social work practitioners, scholars, and advocates from across the Asia-Pacific region gather to uphold human-centered welfare values in the age of digital transition. Together, we will explore the evolving roles of social workers, systemic shifts in social work practice, and innovative strategies for implementation. We warmly invite you to join us in forging pioneering solidarity and a shared vision for an inclusive and sustainable Asia-Pacific community.
